Kathy Feeney is the author of more than 25 nonfiction children's books. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of South Florida in 1980. Kathy worked as a newspaper reporter for The Advocate (Stamford, Conn.) and The Tampa Tribune before becoming a freelance travel writer and children's book author. Her first newspaper article was published at the age of 12. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Kathy is the recipient of several awards, including a William Randolph Hearst Award for writing.
